Katie is 14!

Another January birthday has come to our house.  Katie is 14 years old today!  She keeps growing by leaps and bounds.  She is now taller than her 2 older sisters (the ones that are still at home) and she is proud of it! She loves to keep everyone smiling...smiling is her favorite. :)  Although she is getting older, she is still young at heart and I love her for that.

A New Blogger in the House!

When our children turn 13, we have let them start their own blog.  Not only does it give them something to do, it also helps in improving their writing skills.  Although Katie turned 13 several months ago, we are just now getting around to starting a blog for her.  

Her blog is Katie-did Tales.  Katie-did has been my nickname for her and she loves to talk and tell stories...especially funny ones.  She would appreciate it greatly if you would wander on over to her blog and leave a comment or better yet, follow it!  Thanks so much!

A New Teenager in the House!

Yesterday marked another astronomical event in our household...Katie Lynn turned 13!  We now have 4 teenage daughters wandering around in this abode we call home.  4.  Yes, you heard me correctly.  We will take any and all sympathy anyone wants to send our way.  ;)

Katie is such a joy to be around...there is never a dull moment with her.  She is happy and I like her that way!  She is a lover of the great outdoors, animals, bugs, camo, knives, candy, laughing, being a prankster....That's our Katie-did!

Teens and pre-teens OH MY!

Well, we have 3 teens in our house so far, and over the weekend our Katie-did turned 12.  She will soon step over the {teen} threshold...yeah, that one...but I'm going to enjoy her being "just 12" for now!  She is such a delight to be around.  She is our "happy" girl, {at least most of the time} always laughing, always teasing or being just plain funny!  She's a true "Daddy's girl"...she loves what he loves...  She says she is NEVER going marry.... that she is always going to stay home with us.  I'm sure she'll probably change her mind about that....but I can hope, can't I?
